With it taking longer to sell homes, curb appeal is becoming more and more important.  As a matter of a fact, with the new developments in brick and stone veneers, a homeowner can give a facelift to the exterior of his or her home easily.

Some brick and stone veneers are easier to install by a do-it-yourselfer than others.

However, you will be surprised to know that some veneers are made of real brick.  Those brick veneers are only ½ inch thick.  Other veneers are concert and stone molds that are tinted to look like brick or stone.

The main difference in the veneers and real brick is in how they are adhered to the home.  Brick and stone veneers are adhered to the home using epoxy mortar or glue, and then it is grouted like tile.

Still yet, there is a brand called Novabrik that can be interlocked to eliminate the need fro mortar, glue, or epoxy.

Whichever option you decide on to give your home a face lift ensure that you match the new veneer with existing brick or stone work.

For this upgrade be prepared to spend between $2000 to $5000 to complete the upgrade to the foundation.  The price includes material and labor.

This upgrade may improve our chances of selling your home in one month or over a year.  Consider the external of your home before listing it for sale.  Remember, first impression are lasting ones.
